Wedding Guest Drama

Luckily Wedding Season seems to have been and gone,  and with only two invitations recieved, I do feel that I have had a lucky escape. (I am putting this down to my 'Forever Young' social circle.) I say a lucky escape because in all honesty, as wonderful as these occassions are, My God they are stressful! Perhaps not as stressful as it is for the Bride and Groom, but seriously, what do you wear to such occassions?!

Prime example; I have had five months notice for a wedding taking place this weekend. And I have not wasted one moment procrastinating! And yet, two days before, I am still none the wiser on what to wear!

I have the accesories planned; shoes, hair flower, earrings..but no dress!

The choices are:

1. Oriental flower print dress from Jigsaw. 
2. Floral and mint print dress from Fever London.

 

 I always find choosing clothing to be stressful for weddings as I never want to match Bridesmaids in colour but I also never want something that will stand out! However, with this particular wedding the Bride has specific requested 'colourful'. This is leading me towards the second choice, definitely anything but dull.

Girls Night Out

Vintage inspired look for a girls night out.

• Playsuit - Primark
• Gold Belt - New Look
• Shoes - Miss Selfridge (my babies)

Make up - Matt base, highlight cheekbones and a standard red lip. I'll do a post about the make up I use in the future.

Hair - Hot rollers set using Wilkos setting lotion, gently brushed out and twisted up one side to make place for the flower.

I feel I should introduce myself, I am Hollie Holloway, a lady in love with all things vintage and tea or cake based. I shall be using this little blog to share all the loveliness that I find on my travels in the hope that I can have some interesting conversations with like-minded lovelies.

I work full time so there is noway that this will be updated regularly, but I can assure you that the updates will be worth the wait (I hope). I shall be making a special effort to give links to websites, blogs, youtube videos that I feel are extra special and in return I am hoping for others to share their findings too!
